A large, wide bowl in dark stoneware with an open-weave lattice carved across the interior. The glaze moves from near-black in the recesses to a warm golden edge at the high points — a single glaze, two colours, depending on where the light falls. Named for what it looks like, and what contrast does when it's given room.
