Hand-Building Techniques — Coiling, Pinching & Slab

The building blocks of clay, all in one session. A tour through the three foundations of hand-building. You'll try each technique in turn — coiling for tall, organic forms, pinching for small vessels, and slab work for flatter, more structured pieces — and come away with a real sense of which one speaks to you.

After exploring the techniques, you'll choose one to create a piece of your own to bring home. Firing and glazing will be taken care of by the studio. Once fired, the pieces will be available for pickup or shipped by post for an extra fee.

All courses are conducted in either English, Italian or Croatian.

Every session at Totus — solo or as a pair — is genuinely private. You're never grouped with strangers, only with someone you choose to bring.
